How to Convert HEIC to JPG

    1. Add your HEIC photos by dropping them in the box above. You can add many at once.
    2. Wait a moment while each photo is read. The first time, a small decoder loads in your browser.
    3. Keep JPG selected (or choose PNG or PDF) and click Convert.
    4. Download each photo or all of them as a ZIP.

    What Is a HEIC File?

HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) is the default photo format on iPhone and iPad since iOS 11. It stores photos at about half the size of JPG with similar quality. Great for saving space on your phone, but Windows, many Android apps, websites and photo printers still can't open HEIC files.

    Why Convert HEIC to JPG?

    • Open photos on Windows without installing extra codecs.
    • Upload anywhere: job sites, marketplaces, forms and social networks accept JPG.
    • Share with anyone: JPG works on every phone, computer and email app.
    • Print your photos: most print services require JPG.

How to Stop Your iPhone Saving HEIC Photos

On your iPhone, go to Settings → Camera → Formats and choose Most Compatible. New photos will be saved as JPG. You can also go to Settings → Photos and set Transfer to Mac or PC to Automatic so photos convert when you copy them to a computer. For photos you already have, this converter is the fastest fix.

Privacy note: Unlike most HEIC converters, K4Converter never uploads your photos. Decoding and conversion happen entirely on your device.

    Make Your JPGs Even Smaller

Converted iPhone photos can be large. Lower the quality slider to around 80%, or use our Image Compressor and Image Resizer before emailing or uploading.

    Works on Every Device

The HEIC to JPG Converter runs in any modern browser: Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad and Android. Because everything happens on your device, it's fast even on slow connections and keeps working if your internet drops after the page loads. There are no file-size caps set by a server, and no account, email address or watermark is required.

    Troubleshooting & Tips

    • A photo shows "Error" Some HEIC files (such as Live Photo bursts or edited images) use features the decoder can't read. Try exporting the photo from the Photos app as JPG.
    • The first photo takes a few seconds The decoder loads once when you add your first HEIC file. Later photos convert much faster.
    • I'm on an iPhone Safari can read HEIC natively, so conversion works directly on your phone. Choose "Most Compatible" in Camera settings to avoid HEIC in future.
    • The JPGs are large Lower quality to around 80% or resize the photos to 2048 px with the Image Resizer.
